Birthday: Oct. 22 (assigned by Shelke's player from 'Lucrecia's memories'; fanficcers out there, this isn't authoritative, just in-game! ^_^)

How your character ended up in Ville de Lumière: After Advent Children, Aeris decided Gaia's lifestream would be better off without whatever was left of the Sephiroth-Jenova mind-tangle in it, so she pushed him over to the Ville de Lumiere in order to keep her Cloud from having to face him again. (Of course, she probably didn't know about the Kingdom Hearts Cloud's presence in Ville de Lumiere at the time.)

Personality: After having been cleansed of Jenova by Aeris and sent to Ville de Lumiere to get him out of the Lifestream, Sephiroth still has some Issues to resolve. He's still got next to no concept of what normal human interaction is, having spent his life as either a lab test subject, a military leader, or a ravening xenocidal megalomaniac with no actual 'normal' life in the middle. He has a fairly vindictive sense of humor, and a fairly simplistic view of the world that tends to divide into black and white with a narrow band of gray accepted but usually viewed as evidence of insufficient effort to clarify things.

One thing he does understand is governmental and military protocol; he's a past master of both of those, so he'll seem fairly sane, normal, and reasonable if you catch him in a professional role. Because of that, he's someone impressionable young military recruits (*cough*andClouds*cough*) look up to a lot.

But if those same people catch him in a 'social' situation afterwards, they'll probably be startled by how stiff and awkward he is, and how if he tries to make a situation lighter, he'll say some fairly horrible and inappropriate things with a grin. He was trained for the military, after all; he was never trained for the cocktail parties afterward. Or for going to the bar with friends, or much of anything else.

Sephiroth has some substantial guilt issues for Cloud in particular, but a rather disturbing lack of guilt over what he did to the rest of the world. Back in the day, he had no idea what guilt is, or what the value of life is, or anything that involves not being a living exterminator for the alien virus that had devoured whatever there was of his native personality. He's fixated on the Kingdom Hearts-verse Cloud in Ville de Lumiere because he sees it as a chance to begin anew without the baggage of memories, but he's not doing a very good job of not mucking things up all over again -- despite truly good intentions, it takes social skills to handle someone as damaged as any Cloud is, and social skills are the biggest gap in his education. (With the possible exception of how baking works, that is.)

There's also some question about whether or not he's entirely sane as it is. He certainly wants to be sane, and is making efforts to keep his darker instincts under control, but Jenova was a part of him from conception, and there's only so much Aeris can do to extract what was innate to begin with -- hence the reason she decided the best thing to do was to throw him out of Gaia's universe entirely.

Anything else important about the character?: He has a very big sword and has been killed a lot of times and possesses an astonishing tendency to not STAY dead. (Clouds tend to regret this a lot.)

In addition, he's working with Major Kusanagi (cybernetical) and several recruits to assemble a city surveillance and patrol system, since Yuna was kidnapped within days of arrival, Muraki is wandering around wreaking havoc and has not incidentally threatened Cloud, which immediately got Sephiroth's hackles up since no one is allowed to hurt Cloud except himself, and even members of the government seem determined to blow it up despite Miss Hetfield's insistence that it was an accident (which Sephiroth doesn't even remotely begin to believe, given his background with Shinra intriguing).

Another unintended consequense of his Shinra background? He assumes that Turks and the military are the only available options for controlling a city. He has no idea of the difference between 'military' and 'police' -- in fact, he's never even heard of 'police' and assumes it's a dialect word that means 'whatever soldier or Turk is in the vicinity'. Consequently, he also has no idea of the need for trials to establish guilt. Soldiers are authorized to shoot first and never ask questions later, because by definition the people they're fighting are enemies. Turks go in and break heads and make threats when the people who are being fought are too important or valuable to just kill outright. Trial by jury? What's that? (after explanation:) ...that sounds like a horribly inefficient way of dealing with criminals. Just kill them and you'll be certain they won't do it again, and you won't have the expense of lawyers or a judicial system or prisons to deal with. Much more effective in terms of time and money both.

If anyone feels inclined to enlighten him, they may have quite a challenge on their hands...
